Dear Students and Student Candidates;
The Department of Energy Systems Engineering, which was opened in 2014 as a 100% English program within the Faculty of Engineering of our university and admitted its first students in the 2015-2016 academic year, provides education in the field of energy with its versatile and dynamic academic staff and developing research and development and education infrastructure. It continues its teaching and research activities at undergraduate and graduate levels.
Energy Systems Engineering is active in the field of energy, both in modernizing technologies and energy conversion systems (ECS) based on traditional energy sources in order to operate at higher efficiency and with less carbon emissions to the environment, and in the modernization of new generation, modern and environmentally friendly technologies based on renewable energy sources. It is an applied engineering discipline that aims to train engineers who can work in the design and production of compatible alternative energy technologies and/or ECS with high energy conversion efficiency and sustainability. This discipline, which brings together mathematics and science, mechanical, chemistry, physics, electrical-electronics and materials engineering with an applied engineering approach, offers advanced solutions to the ever-increasing energy needs of our country and the world, while taking into account economic and environmental factors.
Energy Systems Engineering, which aims to find universal systematic solutions to the increasing energy needs of our country by using all modern and effective tools of engineering, will be an excellent, interdisciplinary and future-oriented profession for you.
Best wishes for success,
Prof. Dr. Mustafa Tutar
